2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition

Early next year, Chevrolet will be offering the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition, but it will only be offered in a limited quantity. Chevrolet will produce 550 Premiere Edition models and they will be available at a price of $77,450 including shipping. The vehicle will also only be available in a paint color of Lime Rock Green.

An adjustable magnetic ride suspension, performance exhaust, and electronic limited-slip differential are some of the high-performance additions to this Corvette. It will also include some added luxury, including suede interior and Thule Corvette-branded luggage.

The Premiere Edition will have either a seven-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission and will have the same 6.2-liter V8 engine as the standard Corvette. The engine produces plenty of power as it generates 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.

Chevrolet Amps up the Silverado with Performance Cheyenne


At the recent SEMA Show in Las Vegas, everyone got a good look at Chevrolet’s new Silverado Cheyenne high-performance concept truck. This small truck shares the same engine as the 2014 Corvette Stingray, uses some of the same parts as the Camaro Z/28, and has even more enhancements for improved handling.

The engine is the 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower, and its Z/28-shared parts include the wheels, tires, and carbon ceramic brakes. This is definitely not a truck for hauling bales of hay. Chevrolet even gave it a lowered suspension, a rear stabilizer bar, and a Borla exhaust to make it truly track-ready.

To make sure the Cheyenne wasn’t carrying any unnecessary weight, engineers used carbon fiber for the bumpers, cargo box, and tailgate. It also uses only a standard-sized cabin and the small bed size Chevrolet offers.

Best of all, according to Autoblog, the Cheyenne concept may actually make it to production!
