We would have been good all year if we knew the Corvette Z06 was on its way!

This price is humble when you look at the powerful 6.2-liter V8 supercharged drivetrain under the hood. It creates 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It’s an awe-inducing vehicle. The supercar is super, indeed, with a 2.95 second acceleration from 0-60.

The Corvette Z06 can make a quarter mile loop in 11.2 seconds in manual and 10.95 seconds in automatic. It reached top speeds of 127 mph at the end of that loop.

Santa, we have been good this year, and we promise you never have to bring us anything again. If you could just slip a Corvette Z06 under the tree this year, we would be the happiest people alive!

From Tom Naquin Chevrolet, we wish you holidays as super as the Corvette Z06.

Chevy Already Hard at Work on C8 Chevrolet Corvette

C8 Chevrolet CorvetteThe Chevrolet Corvette is currently enjoying a banner year; the C7 Corvette Stingray, now in its second model year, continues to rack up the accolades. It was named the 2014 North American Car of the Year and sports a 9.3 out of 10 customer rating on KBB.com. Then there’s the 2015 Corvette Z06, which is the “most track-capable” and performance-oriented Corvette ever produced.

These cars already compete favorably with the world’s greatest supercars—and the Corvette is much more affordable than those cars, anyhow—but Chevy knows that when it comes to supercars, there’s no time to rest on your laurels. That’s why Chevy engineers are already hard at work on the C8 Corvette, and there are already rumors that the future Corvette will feature a hybrid assist system to boost both performance and efficiency.

The C7 is already the most powerful and efficient Corvette generation, but apparently it’s soon to be upstaged by the C8. We don’t know anything else about the C8 yet here at Tom Naquin Chevrolet, but we promise to bring you that news as soon as we have it. If you’re looking to nab a C7, though, you’d better hurry, because these things are selling faster than we can get them in here to the showroom.

Road & Track Names 2013 Performance Car of the Year

Recently, 13 new and updated performance cars were pitted against one another in the first annual Road & Track Performance Car of the Year test. After much deliberation on the track, the top six vehicles were then moved on to a road test before the 2013 Performance Car of the Year was finally named.

The list of cars that were part of the comparison test include: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.

With so many vehicles to test, choosing the best performance car could not have been easy. Eventually, however, a decision was made. Tom Naquin Chevrolet is excited to share that the winner of the 2013 Performance Car of the Year is…the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51.

How do you feel about the decision on the 2013 Performance Car of the Year?

A New Chevrolet Voice

Last month, Chevrolet announced that it would “Find New Roads” with its new tag line in regard to its advertising campaign.

What we did not know was that those new roads would include a new Chevrolet voice.

That is right.

The talented chords of Tim Allen will no longer ring out over the speakers of your televisions.

His replacement?

John Cusack.

Along with several other talented pipes, the new Chevrolet voice was aired during the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS Sunday evening in its first commercial.

The spot utilized the Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Sonic, Spark, and Volt to symbolize the various new roads that will be discovered by the automaker.

The new voice closed: “With the best lineup of vehicles ever, introducing the new Chevrolet. Why just go from A to B when imagination can take you everywhere?”

Local Elkhart Indiana dealership, Tom Naquin, looks forward to the new roads that will be found.
