The Chevrolet Corvette is currently enjoying a banner year; the C7 Corvette Stingray, now in its second model year, continues to rack up the accolades. It was named the 2014 North American Car of the Year and sports a 9.3 out of 10 customer rating on KBB.com. Then there’s the 2015 Corvette Z06, which is the “most track-capable” and performance-oriented Corvette ever produced.
These cars already compete favorably with the world’s greatest supercars—and the Corvette is much more affordable than those cars, anyhow—but Chevy knows that when it comes to supercars, there’s no time to rest on your laurels. That’s why Chevy engineers are already hard at work on the C8 Corvette, and there are already rumors that the future Corvette will feature a hybrid assist system to boost both performance and efficiency.
The C7 is already the most powerful and efficient Corvette generation, but apparently it’s soon to be upstaged by the C8. We don’t know anything else about the C8 yet here at Tom Naquin Chevrolet, but we promise to bring you that news as soon as we have it. If you’re looking to nab a C7, though, you’d better hurry, because these things are selling faster than we can get them in here to the showroom.
