2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible Auctioned Off for American Heart Association

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.

Strokes are the fourth leading cause of death.

Make your own heart beat fast so that the heart of another may simply beat.

Chevrolet will take bids on the 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible in January at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction to benefit the American Heart Association.

The 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible is an extremely limited edition that appeared at the 2012 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

It is the very last, sixty-ninth of sixty-nine, 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaros and only one of two 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertibles.

The other 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible is on permanent display at a General Motors museum, not intended to drive the roads or to even be sold.

This one, however, is up for auction.

The 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible:

  • Inferno Orange Metallic—the only one in this color
  • 4.0-liter Supercharger V8 engine delivering 550-horsepower
  • Three-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission
