2016 Chevrolet Volt Named Green Car of the Year

Green Car of the Year

The 2016 Chevrolet Volt was named Green Car of the Year, which is a title handed out every year by the Green Car Journal.

The Chevrolet Volt keeps getting better with age. Since its earth-shattering introduction, the Chevy Volt has garnered an extensive collection of awards. It can now add yet another prestigious title to its growing list.

According to a Chevrolet press release, the 2016 Chevrolet Volt was named Green Car of the Year.

The Green Car of the Year title is handed out every year by the Green Car Journal. The publication makes its decisions based on the efficiency and technology of the vehicles.

The 2016 Volt has both of these things going for it. The new Volt has a range of up to 420 miles, meaning fewer stops and more memories to be made out on the road.

“Chevrolet’s all-new Volt is a milestone, building on an already-technologically advanced ‘green’ car and delivering what buyers have longed for, including an impressive 53-mile driving range on a single charge,” said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal and CarsOfChange.com.
